The aim of the module is to introduce positive leadership and explore how positive psychology and the science of well-being can be applied in the workplace. Emphasis will be placed on examining the leadership role in a broad context, from taking leadership in one's own life to leading roles at work and in other areas of society.
Different leadership styles will be examined, for example positive leadership, strength based leadership, value-based leadership, mindful leadership and health promoting leadership. These leadership styles have been shown to be effective when it comes to leading people in a constructive way, both in personal life, and in the workplace, with emphasis on productivity, engagement, work satisfaction as well as health and well-being.
