This course is intended for anyone interested in learning Korean and already has some basic knowledge of the language. It covers the most essential Korean grammar and vocabulary to help you develop basic skills in speaking, listening, reading and writing. The course will also introduce you to culture and everyday life in Korea, which are closely interconnected with the language.
Basic Korean grammar and vocabulary.
Korean pronunciation rules.
Culture and everyday life in Korea.
You will learn how to:
Talk about past events.
Describe what you can or cannot do.
Make suggestions for actions and activities.
Tell others what you do and don't want to do.
Explain the reasons for your action.
Who should attend:
This course is intended for those who have completed "Kóreska fyrir byrjendur II“, or who already know how to read and write in Hangul, can use 6-7 particles, and conjugate verbs and adjectives in the present tense.
Somyeong Im is a certified Korean language teacher with a M.Ed. degree in Korean as a Foreign Language and B.A. in Japanese and German Linguistics. She has been teaching Korean as a second/foreign language since 2018.
Course materials and handouts will be provided. No preparation is required. This course is taught in English and Korean.
